I think she would have wowed the audience more with a deeper cut. Her voice is perfectly suited to her melancholy melodies. She's a tremendous lyricist as well. Nothing about her I don't like. She has one of those sad/beautiful/fragile voices like Emmylou, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, or Julie Miller. I also listen to our own Patti Witten on Pandora1 too. I imagine this will be very special and have renewed my Grammy Museum membership today so I can get upcoming insider email alerts. It is expected to open in early May. The museum always has special events in their little 653 sq. ft. theater in conjunction with new exhibits. At best, we can hope and dream that maybe Joni may appear, but if not, I'm sure there will be other notables appearing and attending and it is the custom to have meet and greets afterward. A few of the gang have already expressed interest in getting together for this and also Anita and Steph will be in L.A. then, so I hope we can plan a group gathering around this! I will let you all know of any scoop as soon as I hear it! ;-) L.A.
