He owned the Recorder Workshop on Bird Road. Everyone thought it was a tape recorder repair shop. Except the musicians. They knew it was a Arnybs place. He was a renowned renaissance/ baroque musician and the place was FILLED with acoustic guitars, sheet music and harpsichord(s), sackbuts, recorders, viola da gamba, and guitar strings. People from all over the world would come hang out with Arny. He sold my mom the first guitar I ever had and I ended up playing in an ensemble with him during my performing days. I know John Sebastian was a friend, as were Teri DeSario and Odetta, and Ibm sure David Crosby, Bobby Ingram, Vince Martin and Fred Neil must of known Arny. Everyone was in and out of the shop at all hours, and now obviously Joni Mitchel was a pal too. > > It turns out Joni and I were on the same flight to LA. > > Just after take off the stewardess came back in the cabin and said Joni was inviting me to join her. We talked bout PACE (we had just started around 4-6 months before) and bpurposeful music". I talked about my musical career, how I had stopped playing. That the symphony was failing (again). About how my partner/friend percussionist, arts management student, Steve Parsons from the symphony and I wanted to produce musical events that served the public. We talked at length about how we wanted to start a bchamber rock ensemble b with the members of the orchestra to perform with contemporary artists. I believe the album liner notes read Your notches. It could well be a typo that has caused all the controversy. Now that we see daily on Facebook how people use your and youre it would hardly be a stretch.
