Advice from friends over here seems to be to get a car, which we will, but we don't fancy getting off the flight and driving straight away. Like to find our feet if possible. We would also really like to do some tourist things and would welcome any advice from any locals about getting around, places to avoid, or good places to stay. Someone over here suggested getting an apartment, which quite appeals to us. Anyway, any advice welcome! Many thanks. I have done tons of gigs over the years with him and the first one being when he was playing at a new club in New Orleans and we provided the PA for his band. He is was doing a funk/rap kinda thing which was a bit removed from his Jazz background. The images of hi playing with James Booker came rushing back yesterday as he nurtured the kids that performed with him at the fundraiser yesterday.
