Well, if you must know, we did a version of Eastern Rain, Joni's song that was never released. We put a Balkan flare on it and did it in 7/8 time (for you musicians out there) and it turned out beautifully - fell right into place in that time signature. Looking forward to presenting one of her songs that most people don't know about!! Other than that "surprise" you'll all be familiar, of course, with the repertoire and I couldn't be happier!! Can't wait for you all to hear it. I love those early unreleased songs, and Eastern Rain is a beauty. Yours will be the 4th released cover - unless someone else slips one in before you do. With that said, I don't really enjoy listening to her. It's just a subjective deal. However, I respect her. She's going for her own thing and for this, I take my hat off and say "go for it!" We can like or not like something and still appreciate it's artistic value. She has artistic value. And this is a really good thing. I totally dug the video she did with David Byrne...that was fascinating and cool.
