I recently saw Sarah Dash (formerly of Patty LaBelle and the Bluebells then LaBelle) at 54 Below in New York. I had the privilege of talking to her after the show. She talked about the making of the album "Gonna Take a Miracle". She described hanging out with Laura at her apartment in Harlem, fascinating stuff. Anyway, she talked about (albeit briefly) Laura's feelings about Geffen (which were not terrific nor were Sarah's feelings about Patty) (GRRRRRR). Actually, if I understand comments made by Geffen, he felt that Laura sort of "turned" on him. I love all the detailed, rich musician observations of late & I really want to play a musical instrument. It is like a different language that you all speak, of which I am enthralled. I haven't seen this article on jonimitchell.com or on jmdl so I am sending it again, in hopes it reaches an ear ...or two.... please, I'm begging you....I just want to talk to you. http://www.latimes.com/features/home/laaffairs/la-hm-affairs-20130928b,0,743 6683.story GREETINGS FROM THE TRIPLE M Down a gravel road, where the barb wire meets the sky.
