Subject: Joni-related Books

I've read a lot of bios (and autobios) of musicians and, while I wouldn't call "Girls like us" a great book, I also wouldn't call it crap; I enjoyed it. Similarly, I wasn't as impressed with "Will you take me as I am" because many of the facts have been written about before and I felt it was too "wordy" and drawn out (too analytical) often going off on tangents. Maybe I just don't like the author's style. 

I DID love the "Woman of heart & mind" DVD.

Ultimately, of course, if someone is really a fan and looking for the best books on Joni, they'll have to go through some and decide for him/herself.

Joni said in a performance before she sang "That's the Way It Is" that the show was dreadful. She hated the arrangements but actually felt sorry for the arranger having to deal with her weird tunings.
