I've always noticed the hats, but what I carry away is her persona on stage, not the hat, so I didn't really think about it. Then she wore a hat in The New Orleans jazz fest & in Woodstock, I believe. And now I remember she wore a fine fox fur hat at her concert in Madison, WI years ago - Court & Spark tour. Well, it was very cold & wintery: that hat made sense & I bet it was warm. She was also dressed in a pale green suede pantsuit with a fox collar & matching suede boots. Very chic. Just an image I'll never forget as a bunch of us swarmed her limo & shouted "We love you Joni". She waved to us, the limo drove on. We almost missed her as we were looking for her stage dress, but she had changed already. I'm just saying I like someone who knows how to wear hats & does. Thanks for sharing the video. And yes, Pat's (2) recordings are among the 927 covers of BSN documented on JM.com. We're up to 4,188 covers in all and it won't be long before the River's start to pour in. Henning & Christina are recording again in Denmark, don't know if any new obscure Joni covers will come from that project but anxious to hear it regardless. Eydie Gorme died this past week and never recorded BSN. Very surprising. Indeed she has spoken the truth and I'm almost glad to see her word vindicated with this example. How did you happen on this article?
