Great, I hope he can shed some more light on the Process. My questions (with regard to Paprika Plains) would be: 1. whether he was requested or did he on his own volition use the visuals from the poem (unsung portion) as thematic source material for orchestration, that might have leaned toward cinematic scoring? 2. what he thinks about Joni's assertion that the "strings are out of tune?" I tend to think it is the piano that has slid rather than a whole orchestra but since Henry is gone, it will be Joni's word unless he sets the record straight. 3. did Joni give him any reference to (or did they discuss) the orchestral works of other composers to draw from? I hear both Stravinsky and Debussy, less sure on Rachmaninoff. CC Hope I'm not too late. ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2013 #308 ********************************* ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here:mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
