She does some unique things on Sisotowbell Lane, or maybe it's that I don't hear that one much. Also interesting is her guitar on "You Turn Me On" where she does some fret-slides ala "Cold Blue Steel". Very cool that she submitted a tab. Bob From: "Susan E. I tried to contact her recently when I was doing the instructional video but I didn't hear from her. She is definitely using Joni's tunings on this disc! Her guitar style is wonderful!! This was a couple of months ago. And news on the Joni cover front...of course every week I throw a compilation out there for y'all (Something old, something new, something from Blue) but here's a new release from Madison, WI musician Traci Wundrock, "Sea Dreams: A Tribute to Joni Mitchell" that some of you will be interested in: http://tracywundrock.bandcamp.com/album/sea-dreams-a-tribute-to-joni-mitchell All old stuff, which is typical. I've been spinning it the past few days and her voice is very Kathleen Edwards'ish, the arrangements are all safe, duplicates of Joni's own recordings. There are a couple of rarely heard covers (Sisotowbell Lane, I Think I Understand). Sue, I wonder if she used the JM.com tabs? If you're interested in snagging a copy, it's easy to do and she'll ship it to you quickly. The second half is Allison Kraus and Robert Plant. Anyone know if the full 70 minutes is available anywhere? In this case.. Joni isn't the honored, revered and successful artist that I look up to and feel such a strong connection with (my inability to communicate meaningfully with her in the dream suggests this). But thanks for the compliment, anyhow! ;) I think it may have been spurred on by the Neil Young vs. Joni poll that I participated in. He blew her away with votes. My dream fulfilled would be that she is appreciated and understood across a variety of cultures .. the masses really. Thanks for indulging me!
