She did say it was from this film, "the story of three loves." I had been looking for the original classical piece (and there are many on youtube) but this upload claims to be the one from the film - it's a more "pop" version. I'm not really into the harmonica stuff myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1Q9b2POn5Y ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jun 2013 09:43:55 -0400 From: Rose Subject: Re: luminato interview The Cogrossi family posted about how humbled they were for the mention on Facebook. I'm glad that Joni likes it, but HER 2000 recording has become the 'chanteuse' version - if you search on I-tunes or Amazon, it is the most popular download. As anyone lucky enough to have attended the "Voices" exhibit or owns a copy if the book might concur, Joni 's body of visual art contains a breath of work FAR wider and braver than appears in any single interview or video prior and that has been made available. i woyld never call myself an art expert but Zi have had the opportunity to visit done of the world's great museums and I can say without a doubt that she has CHOPS in many media she attempts. The pieces she has hanging in her home as referenced in the interview, with the exception of her VanGogh homage earless self portrait, are really not indicative of the depth or gravity of her painting and visual art. I'm not aware of any watercolor or gouache as she seems to have preferred marker and photography for her paper media. Figuratives, landscapes, abstract expressionism are all represented. While not all are worthy to be called the work of a master, many are frankly astounding, in my humble opinion. Now me. Yeah, I've thought about that too. Now I see the paradox backwards and it makes more sense. Joni doesn't have a painter's eye for detail any more than she has a photographer's eye for detail, or a water colorist's eye for detail, or a felt pen user's eye for detail, or a poet's eye for detail. She has an artist's eye for detail. It is a deeply ingrained attribute that is some sort of source or Muse. All of the songs and the paintings are projections from that source. The Muse is, in some miraculous way, agnostic to media.
