I always enjoy shows that have a mixture of music like this, especially when a Joni track unexpectedly pops up. This morning we had Desert Island Discs, and Damien Hirst picked 'Big Yellow Taxi' as one of his tracks, which was most surprising. I thought at the very least we'd have the theme from 'Jaws', which we didn't. As someone very active on JMDL at the moment, I am a bit concerned by your not posting because there is 'way too much bias'. I did wonder in what way there is here on JMDL that has 'way too much bias' or quite what had upset you. Everything comes and goes. Probably most of us get upset or irritated by one thing or another here from time to time, but I hope that wouldn't stop anybody from posting Peace and Love also! As long as they are given credit for it, how could they complain? I say this as a long-term writer, too. That's what made rap 'music' so shitty for their unafraid openly stealing from others which they called 'sampling.' If I had any of my books left, I'd be glad to send to you to pass on to anyone you'd like! Peace, Waking up to a 'Joni chelsea morning' Babs In a message dated 5/17/2013 12:03:20 A.M. However, it may be slightly obvious for Joni's taste. And then there's the very up tempo and sexy 'Underneath the Streetlights'. That could really rock as an ensemble piece. There are SO many songs of Joni's that comment on what it is to love and to be loved. In many ways, love features in most of Joni's songs - but, even so, the nature of Love, at least in much of Joni's work, seems to me to remain a mystery 'Help Me', 'The Same Situation' really the list is extensive. It will be fascinating to see what Joni and the Alberta Ballet will choose and whether or not the ballet will follow any sub themes or some other narrative within it. Whatever happens, I do hope you will get to see the ballet first hand, though I am worried that you may be the only person paying to see it, but, the good news is, it looks like you will get front row!
