I think most great actors are the nicest people you'll ever meet (not sure about the newer bunch, however). In my early working days I worked at the Art Institute of Chicago and met a dozen or so great actors/actresses and they were quite nice people. In regards to Ms. Mitchell, I woke up with her song in my head "All I Really Want" Happy birthday to Judy Collins who turned 74 yesterday! That number doesn't seem correct since she wasn't that much older than I it seemed and I'm only...ugh, never mind... Was on a case where the head partner insisted I personally fly in all the case briefs for filing at the court in San Jose. (That is not normal or usual practice but he was the big guy so whatever). One day my flight was delayed for hours at LAX and once aloft I was barely going to have time to get to the court before it closed. A junior attorney did call ahead to the court and begged them to stay open for my late arrival. I was carrying two gigantic, heavy litigation bags of appellate briefs and several volumes of exhibits. As were neared San Jose, I asked the flight attendant if I could please move up to first class and be the first off the plane and she agreed. Suddenly none other than Peter Coyote himself jumped out of his first class seat, grabbed my heavy bags, stowed them and was extremely kind and friendly to me for the duration of the flight. He then helped me off the plane with the bags. First class guy all the way and made my day! See the similarities between native people in South America and Mongolia according to my anthropology classes at UICC. You're right Anita, many of Joni's co-workers have passed away which is quite sad. And Rickie Lee Jones never phones it in when you can see her in concert live! She's incredible, Les.
