It's hard to describe, but I feel very uncomfortable looking at them. It's like: "hey, look how close friends we are". It's like showing the world not so memorable pictures of Joni, her everyday life. Too private and unneeded. That's my opinion. So far none of her friends, with the exception of Jane Fonda who posted a couple of nice pictures just to testify her admiration, had ever posted Joni's photos. Why should this young lady do it ?! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Apr 2013 18:01:53 +0100 From: Anita G Subject: Re: Joni in her kitchen Having looked again at the photo (rightly or wrongly) it's clear to me that she's looking at the pile of letters in front of her and saying 'Oh God, not more fan mail.....' Musicians are lucky to be in a field where people get praise for good work. Programmers never get a standing ovation, or their name in the paper. I hope you appreciate the gifts you have and the gifts you share. The same person who posts often if her friendship with Joni Mitchell and other celebrities. Joni does not strike me as someone who simply resigns to have her private moments circulated. We are talking about a close personal friend who is also a visible celebrity. I think they have the nuance and intricacies of this situation more well in hand than anyone in this list. Not a bad cover in the bunch. My absolute favorite was Jo Didderen's "Edith in the Kingpin". Not only is it one of my favorite Joni songs, but he sings it so beautifully. I thought it was a woman at first listen, but he just has a soft wonderful voice. Loved Anna Gadt, the Polish girl singing BSN with such a nice jazzy vocal. Justin Vivian Bond did a nice job on the 2 FTR's songs, but he's no John Kelly. As for Tony Messina, he does a good Frank Sinatra impersonation, and I remember seeing him when he was on "Young and the Restless" and Mel Brooks' "History of the World" Happy weekend Joni friends Jimmy, who wish he was in San Diego seeing Dave and Robin's show In a message dated 4/6/2013 11:30:48 AM Eastern Daylight Time, scjoniguy@yahoo.com writes: > Hey everybody!
