Although these would have been new songs (to you) when you heard them in concert, Joni had been performing them throughout 1969. As far as I know, "Blue Boy" was first performed at Carnegie Hall on Feb. 1, 1969, and "Rainy Night House" at The Troubadour on May 22, 1969, a song 'not yet' titled. The Troubadour performance is particularly interesting. Not only do we hear "Rainy Night House" as "a song that doesn't yet have a title", BUT ... There's a 4-Song seque, "Rainy Night House" into "Blue Boy" into "Willie" into "Looking Out For Love". It's not clear if "Looking Out For Love" is an addendum to "Willie", or a seperate (incomplete) song. This is the only known recording. Check it out. I've UpLoaded some music via YouSendIt. Here's the DownLoad link: This link you will expire on February 13, 2013 3-Items are included. 1. 1969.07.07, Two Houses.aiff (from the Mississippi River Festival - July 7, 1969) 2. 1969.05.22, Troubadour.zip (11 Songs - 30 min.) 3. Unfortunately the recording was incomplete, containing only 8 of the 9 songs performed. As luck would have it, I had an complete audience recording of all 9-songs. However, it was a poor quality recording. Extremely Poor! Since I did have the last song performed, I added it to copies of the SoundBoard recording sent to some of my JMDL friends. I figured a complete recording is better than an incomplete copy, despite the poor quality of the last song. - - - - - - Finally! I NOW have a SoundBoard recording of Joni's final song "The Circle Game", and have added it to the original 8-song recording. You can now download your copy at the following URL: This link you will expire on February 12, 2013. Here's the Set List: Newport Folk Festival Festival Field Newport, RI July 19, 1969 1.
