A group of musicians paid tribute to Martin Luther King by having an all-night folk, rock and blues jam session at The New Generation Club in New York. Joni played first followed by Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix. Other musicians who participated were BB King, Al Kooper and Ted Nugent. Never seen this before! Quality is not that good and yet!!! Does anybody have further information? Notes seem to have been taken from the jonimitchell.com chronology section... Are there any further videos? Hi Mark - Shari I have not been on here to post for ages but Hello to you too. Mark - What a phenomenal and terrifying vision of Joni's life. I am on the train to London in a very quiet compartment and have had to stifle my laughter after reading your description of her "talk/game show" Bob Murphy would have had something to say on this for sure. Oh how I miss him. I think we sometimes dream these things (flat tyres?) To save us from it actually happening. Sometimes the relief of waking from a nightmare is what we need to straighten the psyche. I did watch the Joni part because Sisotowbell Lane was definitely NOT a song that she commonly performed live. After nothing for an age and a half. Your dream sounds incredible Cat.(Well it was a dream so it would be!! Dur! I have had a partial Joni dream. I wanted to buy a guitar and went to the local butchers shop (as you would to buy a guitar). Joni was in the queue and was trying to get cigarettes. I offered her a sausage instead! (It WAS a dream) and she shrugged and walked away! I followed her for a bit of a way but got distracted by some flowers. And that was it really. Odd the things you remember. Will try not to lurk. I do read the digest here and there. Today I de lurked. Who knows what tomorrow brings! The old archives have been very interesting. I wish I could find an exchange between Bob Murphy, Muller and Me about handy hands and Do it yourself! Will just have to keep on looking. I joined the JMDL 10 years ago - where has that time gone!
