I wish I could help with that, but I'm hopeless at that stuff. I just press buttons and hope things work. Just wanted you to know that I empathize with you. Have you tried contacting Itunes support? and/or the support of whoever made the external hard drive? I realize that sometimes contacting support is the last thing you want to do when you're feeling even slightly vulnerable, but some of them are actually helpful. I just hate it when they want me to locate serial numbers and so on, because I can never see them! I'm kind of hoping someone on the list might know what to do though. Almost always there is at least one person with good advice. >________________________________ > From: Cassy >To: JMDL >Sent: Friday, January 11, 2013 12:46:14 PM >Subject: Oh my! > >I have a 3 terabyte external hard drive that I finally got around to putting >into service, itbs a WD My Book Essential. > >Before Christmas I transferred my i-Tunes over to it, all of my music, CDs, >digital purchases and my very organized Joni covers from Bob the maestro >covers king. Hi Cassy sorry to hear about your husband... regarding the disk - first thing to remember is that it most likely is recoverable. as djp said - just don't do anything until you have spoken to someone who has recovery experience. there is plenty of software out there which can recover. i don't know what to use personally, but i do know someone whose son runs a data recovery company. if no other listers chime in with a good answer for you (there are some very knowledgable it people on the forum) i will give the guy a call tomorrow (it's currently late night here) & get some good advice for you regards ron ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2013 #12 ******************************** ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here:mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
