Very difficult at the time but I persevered, listening to it constantly at home and in the car. I also had the same experience with Don Juan's Reckless Daughter, feverishly trying to find the hidden code of it all. Years later they both totally decoded and DJRD is especially now in my top 3. When I remember the difficulty of getting into Hissing, I also remember what we were mostly hearing on the radio in 1975. Here are the top 100 songs for that year, some horrifying in retrospect, but it helps somewhat to explain the aural dissonance at the time. ;-) http://www.musicoutfitters.com/topsongs/1975.htm Kakki - ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Oct 2012 18:55:32 -0700 From: shadows and light Subject: Re: Joni tales at Ruby Lake from lesli me too. i am sure that joni was as delighted to meet you as you were to meet her. she can be so in the moment and full of joy. this is what i saw in the photos. thank you for making the trek. i hope more and more of the group have a chance to meet her. by and by.. ahem, anyone talk about saint augustine? lesli On Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 5:18 PM, kbhla wrote: > Thanks so much to all of you who have shared your magical Joni trip both > here and on Facebook.
