And in this true aim, Joni has succeeded. That is why we admire her. She's used all of her life force for this effort. Bless her. It's an alternative to Youtube and yet another way of viewing and hearing music on the web. If you go to the site and search for an artist (Joni Mitchell, for example), you will then get a playlist of songs by Joni, with suggestions on the right for similar artists. There doesn't seem to be a way that of mixing and matching artists, or choosing a genre, so you'd have to be on a Joni jag (or other chosen artist). You can search for a song and find that song done by different artists (I searched on "Drycleaner from Desmoines." So far, I haven't encountered any ads, which is a bonus, but I suppose that's only a matter of time. Just found this one today, and I searched for a few items and/or artists that I thought might be more obsure and found them, so this one seems all right. http://musictonic.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Sep 2012 22:40:29 +1000 From: "Pat Boland" Subject: Chuck Mitchell sings "The Circle Game" This was a surprise to me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUkKMGsDZ0w&feature=colike ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2012 #292 ********************************* ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here:mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
