I also listened to her version of Dusty Springfield's "I just don't know what to do with myself" and the Cabaret classic "Maybe this time". Mature is the right word, Catherine, for the choice of songs as well as the delivery. Never thought I'd say that of a Spice Girl... Shari, I know exactly what you mean and I've felt that way myself for a long time. But these people are the rare exception for me. They get the music. They respect it and still manage to make it their own. Get all of these tracks or buy the cd. You won't be sorry. And I don't mean to detract from any musician who chooses to cover Joni's work. My hat is also always off to Mr. Mueller for his amazing ability to find so many versions of Joni's songs. It's such a tribute to her that there are so many out there. But I'm like you, Shari. I've always felt nobody sings Joni Mitchell as well as Joni Mitchell. There are few, to my ears, that can do her justice. Robin Adler is one of those few and she is backed by first rate musicians. The sound quality of the cd is also excellent, thanks to Robin's husband and ace guitar player, Dave Blackburn. Dave, Thanks for sharing. I'm really happy you guys are enjoying playing music and the success around that. I have a hard time listening to anyone but Joni sing her songs. I realize a lot of you do covers and I hope I'm not saying anything ghastly here. I'll just keep out of the covers conversations. *slinks away into the background.
