I have the interview below. One of my discs is almost all interview in excellent quality. I'll find it and get back top you. I can send you a copy. Doug Here's an example of a track on the "2-disc" set of mp3's vs. what's on Tape Tree #1: 2-15 Sisotowbell Lane At the end of SL: "Tolkien.." fades out, then fades back in at "your chorus I guess it is" and then out again (about requests), track ends. Now, the Tape Tree has the complete talk part, without fades and continues into a long discussion, over 12 minutes, about old songs Joni wouldn't necessarily ever record (London Bridge, From Both Sides Now), England trip, sickness, Dr. John, Midway, California kitchen tuning, Arlo Guthrie movie, first album sound problems - followed by "The Gallery"... It's really nice stuff and I'd like to get all that on CD. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 22 Jul 2012 08:02:53 -0700 (PDT) From: Michael Flaherty Subject: Re: Subject: Second Fret I am pretty sure I just have the standard 3 cd boot, but I will check and let you know if I have more. I wrote about this about eight or so months ago but wanted to run this by you Joni experts again. Right now I'm working on a major project that essentially decides whether I pass my senior year of high school. It requires a 15-page report and an hour-long presentation on any subject of my choosing. I chose, of course, to write about Joni's guitar style. It's something I have become totally obsessed with and I am really excited to teach my peers about Joni's genius. But before I can do that, I'd really like your help. Are there any books and articles that relate directly to Joni's guitar style? So far I have bought Lloyd Whitesell's "Music of Joni Mitchell" and the printed out the excellent article from Acoustic Guitar magazine from August 1996. Also I have purchased the American Masters documentary by PBS. But there must be some other good books and articles or radio interview transcripts that relate to the subject. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help and for being such a nice, welcoming group of folks.
