Sure enough an instrumental of JLTT was playing overhead via Muzak. It sounded nice. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2012 16:19:59 -0700 From: Mary Morris Subject: FW: JMDL Digest V2012 #937 I'm wondering why this post of mine never made it the list. I don't think it was disrespectful, so I'm sending it again. However, the topic of the BLUE cover may be past it's prime. GREETINGS FROM THE TRIPLE M Down a gravel road, where the barb wire meets the sky. MARY M. I think it is one of her better covers in terms of the product you get. You are set up for a jarring emotional journey of the music & lyrics & the photo looks so personal....if pretty obvious.....a head shot of a singer pouring her heart out. I like the soft focus - kind of contrasts with how emotionally clear all the songs are. I think it set the whole mood for the album: what you see is what you get. Our girl had grown up - no longer the warbler, but the artist at the zenith of her songwriting & performing skills & this album stood apart from her previous works. Plus coloring it blue because the title is Blue seemed obvious. Compared to Joni's other covers, this one may be the weakest one. > > Just my opinion, > Jim L'Hommedieu > > ------------------------------ > > End of JMDL Digest V2012 #937 > ***************************** > > ------- > To post messages to the list, sendtojoni@smoe.org. > Unsubscribe by clicking here: > mailto:joni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe > ------- ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2012 #211 ********************************* ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here:mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
