Just had a thought about that Joni box set that was to be released (from 2006?). Seems like that's not going to happen anytime soon. But let's say, hypothetically, Joni and the company decide to launch some kind of deluxe box set for each albums (3 or 4 CDs maximum, perhaps a DVD), plus live albums and leftovers from the vault. What would you like to see? Personally, I think each album should have demos and/or outtakes. Especially MINGUS, DJRD, and HEJIRA! As for live releases, I'd certainly buy up the Second Fret Sets, a DVD of the BBC In Concert performance (based on the setlist, I don't think it would be right to release it as a bonus disc to an album). Also a CD/DVD set of MOA and the 1974 BBC show, a full show from the 1979 tour would be awesome (complete with the Persuasions' set?), and certainly the 1994 show from the Fez. So again, what do you all think? ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2012 #76 ******************************** ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here:mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
