I wonder if that's where she got the Love Or Money line about pulling down the moon. Betsy NP Jack Sparrow, The Lonely Island Good catch, Betsy! I hadn't thought of that one but it seems entirely plausible and possible to me. There is an old film version of the Oscar Wilde play 'An Ideal Husband'. An important plot device in this movie is a piece of jewelry. It is a diamond snake brooch. But it can be transformed into a bracelet and it is used to trap the blackmailing Mrs. Cheveley. She winds up with a diamond snake around her arm that has a secret, hidden clasp that she can't undo and it brands her as a thief. Who knows? I think I read that Joni is a fan of Turner Classic Movies which is where I caught this one. She is in excellent voice & only one song is redundant. She does a killer version of "Pure Imagination" which I had only heard on tv commercials, but fell in love with - I knew it was better than a jingle & was delighted to hear her singing it out of my car stereo. Now I know all about that song, but I had wondered where it came from ( "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory " ) Music from Willy Wonka, the Theme from Goldfinger and songs from his two hit Broadway shows -- The Roar of the Greasepaint (The Smell of the Crowd) and Stop the World (I Want to Get Off) -- all from the late great Anthony Newley, one of the best singers and songwriters of his generation. I personally prefer the LA Ex to Weather Report and Max to Jaco anyway, but each to his/her own. The article on Judy Collins was interesting, and the revelation of her "relationship" with Joan Baez. Was this the inevitable consequence of dating Bob or Steve?
