But (my apologies to those who have read this story a bunch of times from me already) a friend of mine was at Trudy (Jame's mother) Taylor's house while he was with Carly. There were apparently few if any image of Carly, but a lot of photos of Joni still scattered about the house. lots of love, Anne ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Oct 2011 04:07:34 -0700 (PDT) From: carmel rotem Subject: JT's "Mud Slide Slim" Hi everyone, I was listening to JT's "Mud Slide Slim" and when he sings: "Pick up on a piece of land And build myself a cabin back in the woods" I immediately thought of Joni, and was wondering whether he wrote it about her, I know it's from around the time she was in her cabin in the woods, but not sure about the dates exactly. I'm sure some of you will know, and probably discussed it on the list before. BTW - great discussions here lately, I don't participate in them ususally, but enjoyes reading them very much! thanks, Carmel. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Oct 2011 08:33:20 -0700 From: Corey Blake Subject: Re: JT's "Mud Slide Slim" Hi Carmel, Interesting possibility. I've always been under the impression that he's talking about his own move to Martha's Vineyard and his building a house there. - -Corey On Oct 27, 2011, at 4:07 AM, carmel rotem wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I was listening to JT's "Mud Slide Slim" and when he sings: > "Pick up on a piece of land > And build myself a cabin back in the woods" > I > immediately thought of Joni, and was wondering whether he wrote it about her, > I know it's from around the time she was in her cabin in the woods, but not > sure about the dates exactly. > I'm sure some of you will know, and probably > discussed it on the list before. > > BTW - great discussions here lately, I don't > participate in them ususally, but enjoyes reading them very much! > > thanks, > Carmel. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Oct 2011 16:22:08 +0000 (GMT) From: Anne Sandstrom Subject: Re: JT's "Mud Slide Slim" Actually, the line refers to James buying land on Martha's Vineyard and building a house there.
