For the third time in my life, a Christmas surprise has landed on my doorstep on C-mas Eve. The first, over 25 years ago, was a cat, whom I named "Timing" because hers was good; the second was a filthy, starving, sweet Shih Tzu, whse owners I located on New Years' Eve. And then last night I took in a beautiful small Pomeranian mix (my guess). The friends who found her yesteday managed to find a place that would read his embedd chip -- his previous owner had had to give him up, and his most recent owner doesn't seem to want him. His name is Bear, but he really looks a lot like a fox. So assuming my landlord lets me keep him, and since my Schnauzer's name is Amelia, I'm gonna call him either Coyote, Jericho, Strange Boy, or Silky (for his veils of ardor). Hugs to all, Walt "Little" Breen Well, I'm learning it's peaceful With a good dog and some trees Out of touch with the breakdown Of this century We're not gonna fix that up Too easy (Joni Mitchell, "Electricity", 1972) Let the walls come tumbling down Let them fall right on the ground Let all the dogs go running free The wild and the gentle dogs Kenneled in me (Joni Mitchell, Jericho, 1974) Visit my website: www.learninginsights.info ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Dec 2010 11:10:52 -0800 From: "Mark" Subject: Re: fluffy christmas miracles What a great Christmas present, Walt!
