I am beyond sad that this Labor Day will not find me in NOLA, sharing good times with you all. I ask that you be kind to dear Jody, who is taking this off Michael's shoulders and that you volunteer with good cheer so that she is not stuck in the kitchen while you all are partying. It is deeply satisfying to provide food for a party - that is why Jody and I like to do it - but MUCH more satisfying if there are good helpers in the kitchen. I will never, ever, ever forget the good times I had with Wally K., Mags, Jody, Claudia and many others as we worked at various JoniFests to ensure everyone had plenty of food to sustain the good times! I hope you have been well all this time. I am very well, thank you for thinking of me. I was talking about you not long ago - I got married to my boyfriend of many years back, and he is South African, so I was telling him about people I know in South Africa. Yeah life is good and very complicated and full of surprises. I may be coming to South Africa in September, my husband is a musician and is going to launch his new album on 11 September. His stage name is Jim Neversink, maybe you know him. I don't know if we will be coming to Cape Town, but I'll let you know, perhaps we could meet up? I haven't been posting on the list for a long time, because I have been too busy thinking about other things. So it is a mere coincidence that I saw your email.
