I have never heard this before and needless to say am more than a little obsessed. That strong, steady ''you-oo just see what you want to see..'' - I dont care how this sounds but feel my attention to this womans work has come to a kind of completion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qC7Ls6ixJQ Hope the link works for other 'The Way It Is' virgins and fans. Oriole ''..who am i to tell you how think and how to be.'' www.metamorphosisuk.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 May 2010 15:48:43 +0000 From: Michel BYRNE Subject: DJRD live Sorry, sent this earlier in the week, but it doesn't seem to have made its way into the mailings: Thinking of Jack (Merk54) 's comment about never seeing Joni perform DJRD live - I've just acquired a recording of two 1976 concerts - Philadelphia and Boston - where Joni sings Coyote and DJRD as a two-parter (with slightly different words to DJRD - 'the eagle fighting for high ideals, the serpent for sensuality' in verse 4). Great performance. I don't have the technical know-how to make these CDs available for general download, but if anybody wants this double-track, I can email it. Another stand-out number is the live Jungle Line, much gutsier than the HOSL version. And of interest too: the guitar + band version of Shadows and Light, Talk to Me, and Harrys' House including Centerpiece. J's singing throughout is superb. Just email me if you're interested.
