I love that guy's voice and have it on my iPod!" I said "You do??" So, Michael, we'll definitely be checking out Daryl's House or whatever you mentioned. Now I will be the coolest mom ever for passing on that one! I've always loved his voice (and Joni sang back-up on a song of his called "Rain" I think). Quite frankly, it was so late when we got to it, we fast forwarded through it all (well, except for Pants on the Ground, of course) to the end. But we will go back and watch it. My daughter had some horrendous project that kept her up half the night. (What are teachers thinking planning huge homework projects for Idol finale night???) We're staying there while we see Neil Young across the street at the Fox. Anyway, she put me on "hold", and the music while on hold was a guitar-only version of "I Had a King".....lol. Well at least it did put a smile on my face. At first I had to think about it; which song from STAS is this? :) just thought I'd share.... At the moment he may be TOO COOL for Hall and Oates. Girls are sort of front and center at the moment. Lindsay ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 May 2010 10:26:31 -0500 From: Keith Epley Subject: DJRD) DJRD was my first Joni Mitchell album. I always liked her top ten radio stuff, but this album's sophistication caught me at the right time: teen angst primed to the max. Joni rilling off one clever line after another, man-o-man. In rural Kentucky, this boy arrived, in his feeble mind. Maybe after Hejira, DJRD is my favorite. By the way, a dear friend and partner in crime, who also gave me the album Blue for Christmas in '77 passed just 3 weeks ago. It was "danger and education of his reckless lifestyle" that did him in.
