Thanks for the offer. I held out until the last moment but, we just couldn't get the required numbers to hire that venue. I posted a lengthy explanation her, on the official OzFest Yahoo site and the JoniFest Facebook group. We needed a minimum of 30 people for Kangaroo Valley. I knew it would be an uphill battle with only 3 active members on the list from Australia. All three of us are in Sydney. It's nice to hear from someone in another state. I'm not familiar with Harrietville. Please don't be a stranger here. Introduce yourself and let us know your Joni stories. I also saw her play dulcimer on Rosie O'Donnell once. I don't think she played a Joni song, but she was amazing. Ah yes - the crown jewel of the evening was Cyndi. There were many great performances but Cyndi, Diana Krall, Richard Thompson, and Joni being a winter chimney will remain my favs.. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Mar 2010 11:56:03 EST From: JOSEPHBMCGOWAN@aol.com Subject: Just Like Me I have been performing at several Cafe's and Coffeehouses here is South Jersey. I've recently included Joni's "Just Like Me" in my Set. Although I've had a Partial Version and Lead sheet for Thirty Years, I've only recently obtained recordings of the Complete Song. This as Always been my Favorite of Joni's Songs. I think it Amazing that she never recorded It. I would think that many on this list would be Familiar with the Tune, but if not a Search on You Tube will reveal a Shortened Version from a Canadian Television Program Uncovered by Bobby Muller. It's Haunting. Joey, ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Mar 2010 10:54:22 -0800 (PST) From: M C Subject: 'Come In From The Cold' DVD? Speaking of Joni DVDs, has anyone come up with a DVD version of the video compilation 'Come In From The Cold'? I'm sure interested in getting a copy. I'll even take a digital file. mc ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Mar 2010 12:18:56 -0800 (PST) From: Bob Muller Subject: Re: Just Like Me I can't take credit for uncovering it, but I did a lot to promote it for sure. I agree that it was one her best early songs and could have been a big hit - if not for her than for someone.
