Azeem - great to hear you're coming to the Green Note on 21st - hope you're not too sore after your 50 mile bike ride!! - All the best for that. > Does anyone (Paul?) know which songs she tackles? Not sure - she has 3 samples here - Conversation, ACOY, and Blue @ http://web.me.com/sallybarker/Joni_Mitchell_Project/Audio.html Unfortunately the live videos of California and Free Man in Paris on the same site don't seem to be working (for me?) at the moment. > I've also seen Debbie Cassell, in fact I think she opened for Sally > a couple of times, and they shared a lead guitarist for a while, > Martin Ansell. Who else is going? I'm pretty sure Martin Ansell is coming too - he's married to Debbie and they plan to stay with us on Sunday night as they live down in Dorset. Martin is a great guitarist and songwriter in his own right, probably still best known for his 1986 'Englishman Abroad' album which was produced by Rupert Hine - a song from this, 'Shine' was subsequently included in the film soundtrack of "Better off Dead" starring John Cusack - but I really like the acoustic songs he's been writing recently - http://www.myspace.com/martinansell - he also does pencil portraits - there's one of Joni on his MySpace site. Look forward to seeing you - and Anita - and other UK jdmlers, I hope, on the 21st at The Green Note - http://bit.ly/9YB7zw Best to all PaulC NP 'Track Of The Moon On The Water' by Martin Ansell On 2 March 2010 14:03, Azeem Ali Khan wrote: > Hi folks, > > I've been meaning to delurk since Paul mentioned the gig in Camden on the > 21st March. I could see the lineup... Mr. Bob Muller with his best rendition of Stevie Wonder's My Cherie Amour or maybe Dancing Clown Paz doing DMB's 41 I'd do Bonnie Raitt's I can't make you love me Kay - A Strange Boy (Angela doing The Dawntreader - well she's a bit young for American Geritol so maybe not) Kate Bennett doing my favorite "Wolf Song" Sue Mac - Marcie Robin Adler - Borderline Pearl - Leaving on a Jetplane Michele Dulson - The Scotsman Patti singing something by John Lennon and of course dear Jimmy saying "Oh no Mr. Cowel, I'm auditioning to sing backup doo wops" I can see it all now...
