[demime found a multipart/alternative section which it tried to parse but could not find any section which it could render. Please send plain text.] Les, There are many dates unrecorded in the chronology. In fact I would say that Joni, with and without Chuck, played the Cellar, on average, about once every 1.5 months throughout '66 and '67. (Actually, the last time they played together was 4/67 according to the chronology.) The only one who would have any info on the missing dates would be Brian Moss and the last email I got from his came from mossport@comcast.net. Sorry I can't help more. It's probable that most of the empty weekends there are in the chronology for that period, Joni was at the Cellar. The problem is, we were just a bunch of kids and proper records were not kept. Best Regards, Pat - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The only time we have in the Chronology for Port Huron is early 65 or late 66 when Joni played alone. Must be from a date we don’t know about. From: P. Hi Les, Um, well, aside from "circa 1966 in the dressing room of the Cellar coffeehouse in Port Huron, MI where I spent so many hours with Joni." I'm not sure what I can tell ya. Yes, I would say it is "more than appropriate" that these be included in the site. Thank you. If anyone can photoshop/restore them that would be great. Aside from the 43yrs of wear 'n tear the original quality was that these were taken by one of the gals with one of those little polaroid 'swinger' cameras and so, are blown up from about 2X3 size. That part of my life is like a dream to me now and these pics are the only real evidence that it actually happened aside from my memories. I gave my two cents and they may be only worth, well, two cents. But I also have a second opinion here, a musician who plays sax, piano, bass and guitar, who has also lived with a hammer dulcimer (we don't bother with whole "hammered" thing, only if that's how we're feeling that night), and he said "no way" on the dulcimer. Strumming style most important. It would be very difficicult to do, and actually a strange instrument to do it on. I have never heard hammer dulcimer on any other joni tunes, either. The debate continues...I wish I knew the answer (go ask the dancer...).
