Sue and Anita's posts reminded me of this review that I had clipped from
the Globe and Mail in 1994. I was so happy to see that Joni had come back
onto the scene with new material. Since then, I have kept this old photocopy
(somewhat truncated,unfortunately) in my files. See link below

I note that this article is not in the JMDL files. There you go,
some microfilm work for someone on a winter's day.

I love the photo of Joni, too. It's by Robert Taylor. I tried to contact him
for a copy of it, but never was able to reach him. I also love the copy line
- - Bleakness and Sweetness - a perfect summation, imho.
