[Bob.Muller@Fluor.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2009 01:13:37 -0700 From: "Randy Remote" Subject: The Mama Cass Program This is the 1969 pilot for a Mama Cass show that wasn't picked up. She sings BSN with Joni and sings I Shall Be Released with Joni and Mary Travers. Aired once on network TV and never again. Released last Tuesday on DVD. $12 on Amazon. Is this footage part of the video tree? From the SF Chronicle review: Thus she could banter and sing with guest star Buddy Hackett in one segment and then, in the next, sing as one among equals with Mary Travers and Joni Mitchell. Mitchell's rendition of "Both Sides Now" is a highlight of the show, just lovely. Another surprising highlight: the commercials. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/08/30/PKDC19ATS3.DTL ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2009 09:04:33 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Almost half way there! According to the site, JoniMitchell.com is close to halfway there in terms of its fundraising goal of $1800.00. And not even a week to get there! Way to step up fellow JMDLer's. I'm certain that many mail-in contributions will hit the mailbox this week - - it would be great if this time next week we could reach the summit. Towards the end of the interview, Lynn asked Annie which singers are her favorites. Annie said there is a long list, then named Aretha Franklin. Then Lynn asked about Joni Mitchell (atta girl), and Annie said definitely, Joni Mitchell. Here's the link to the show. Only parts of the interview are on video, and I could not find the Joni mention. There is video of Annie singing 2 songs live for the show. http://www.aetv.com/private-sessions/ps-artist-info.jsp?index=2&type=character ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2009 13:52:20 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Re: Almost half way there! Thanks for that, Lori - Les is keeping the homepage updated, and we are OVER the half way mark now - way cool. Also, if you haven't seen it, Les shares some of the impressive credentials of the website in an August 29th News posting. Bob NP: Fiona Apple, "Love Ridden" (What happened to her?
