I had to thank, via email, a woman I've never even met, for pushing through some important project (not a four-lane highway, though!) that was stalled and making me crazy. She works across campus in the upper echelons (icy altitudes) of the administration. And her name is Hanna. Uh oh! JMOCD strikes again! Now what would you do? Keep it all cold and professional (like battalions of paper minded males, talking commodities and sales), OR share something totally cool that just might make someone's day? I decided to go for the stardust and golden. ******** Thanks so much, Hanna! Best wishes, Patti P.S.. By the way, my favorite singer/songwriter recently wrote a song called "Hana". Did you know about it? Great lyrics! http://jonimitchell.com/music/song.cfm?id=305&from=search ****** The funny thing is that I cc'ed my boss on this one. She's great. I can just see her shaking her head and laughing when she reads it. In other Joni in the workplace happenings, it is getting time to hire student workers for next year. One young man is writing from our Paris program and really wants to work here. When I wrote back, telling him about the job duties and all, I *almost* addded a P.S.: "Do you like Joni Mitchell?" Then I just laughed to myself and decided to save the question for the actual interview.
