B B There's no poetry in those words...sounds like lyrics from a bad 80's hair band.≪ I totally agree, too, Victor, and a Joni split infinitive? Would that be a first? mike in barcelona ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Jun 2009 08:31:28 -0700 (PDT) From: Rian Afriadi Subject: Re: Subject: Re: Alternate lyrics to "Help Me"? + Conversation Agree with that un-Joni statement! Anyway, I love this alternate lyric to "Conversation" He's acted down all evening Maybe it's over now Maybe she's finally leaving I'd like to show her now But friends are friends forever So hard to change their role Laugh with him, cry together A friend feels so old Hey friend, it feels so whole But you keep your feelings deep inside You talk of them and think of pride Now is the wrong time But maybe if a dozen days are warm and right You'll hear him say "I've wanted you baby for such a long time" He comes for conversation I comfort him sometimes Comfort and consultation He knows that's what he'll find Is there any other song that has an alternate lyric, beside "Conversation"? My sisters were driving and turned on the radio and there she was- Joni Mitchell !! They too enjoyed it and were itching to tell me about it when we met up. It's so good when everyone gets the chance to listen to Joni and then get together and celebrate the fact. Jonifests must be wonderful things. So good to hear Joni on the radio but I must say there seems to be more of that than ever these days- never enough though but all the same she is getting more airplay than she has had in many a year which is wonderful ! My little niece who is eight years of age sat down and listened to Joni one day and said "She is a brilliant singer." She was quite simply struck with awe. It was lovely to witness. I've got a lot of those Wild Things shows, including that one and it is one of the best - I think she was glad to be playing for a hometown crowd.
