Boy is Joni's web community in the right hands. One thing I must remark on is the branding elements that Joni has dropped on us over the years, which astute Les has masterfully integrated. Other artists who are visualists don't seem to have created quite the graphic identity that Joni has, or had the benefit of the love, admiration and good taste of supporters like Les to acknowledge and use it to best advantage. Congratulations, Les! CC _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail. is up to 70% faster. They did a whole episode on what was funny about a New Yorker cartoon. This is the ultimate compliment! a cartoon is by definition not some thing that is supposed to be funny, it is supposed to pictorially observe life and comment on it. If there is humor, it in wry, it is ironic, it is observational, it is something that connects to something within the viewer. I find their cartoons very funny many times, but then, funny is that which gives me a quiet humorous insight that connects to something in me and gives me an "aha" moment. If I want "funny" I watch Superbad or Pineapple Express ... or should I use examples like Mad Magazine and Animal House... So Joni gets complimented as an ongoing treasure and rock in a world of uncertainty and loss --- and appreciation is null --- come on, do we really live in the valley of the cultural philistines?
