I apologize to those that have insulted me. I should refrain from knee jerk retorts. I also apologize for upsetting this Joni Mitchell Club. I must presume that all of you love Joni as I do, but I also thought this site was an open forum to discuss different perspectives. In the past I have sacrificed my personal desires for the benefit of others so they may know the importance of the words I spoke. Sometimes a man must give up the most precious, beloved so they have free will to choose. To answer those that ask the question "who the hell are you", well I'm just a man that has experience some wonderful things in life. Recently I saw a disabled, crippling child look up to her mother with a big smile on her face and say "Look Mom I'm walking" and a grown man telling me about his abusive father, and a lady sent me a video to encourage me to offer help. Now most of you would think that these strangers I met have no value but I beg to differ with you, to me they are the most precious moments. These strangers found in the refuge of roads are all profound, they are all gifts from God that make me feel like a real man. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 11 Mar 2009 15:15:24 -0400 From: Vince Subject: Re: Joni in the New Yorker Jerry is right, it is indeed a compliment in a time in which everything changes the one constant is Joni's beautiful music Vince On Wed, Mar 11, 2009 at 11:57 AM, Gerald Notaro wrote: > I think it is a compliment, not at all the the Cher and cockroaches remark. > More about the endurance of her art, rather than pfysically surviving a > nuclear holocaust! > > Jerry > > On Wed, Mar 11, 2009 at 11:45 AM, Monika Bogdanowicz >wrote: > > > Hmm, yes it is a strange little joke, isn't it?
