Published by the U of Calif Press, the book is full of personal narratives of students who graduated in this educational system. I did not really read the book but as I scanned the first few pages, Joni's lyrics to BSN was used to preface the first chapter. I thought this is a nice touch. It is both a homage to the artist herself and the timelessness of her words/lyrics. Written at a precocious young age too. I kinda like books that use lyrics of songs in the pages before the preface. One of the most memorable is Stevie Wonder's lyrics "Show me how to do like you/Show me how to do it". Can you guess the title of the book (and its writer) where this line was used?
