Bob touched my life in so many ways. He was one of the first jmdlers I got to know really well. He could make me laugh like no other person I've known. He had a heart of gold. I will miss seeing him, talking to him on the phone, reading his posts. I will always remember our friendship, and the love he gave to so many. Say hello to Ethel Merman when you see her, Bob. Some of the biggest fondest memories I've ever experienced. I am glad he went peacefully - but I am sad at his passing. I am shaking my fist at lightning now but thankful for the roars of laughter. They were rolling rounds of laughter he planted as he went along his way. He was a genius with his wit - brilliant - quick - and never missed a pitch! I can only imagine what he would say to my quest for words and meaning here - sorry Smurf - I will try again later. Good bye friend - say hello to Ethel for us all! I love you! Grant perfect rest beneath the sheltering wings of Thy presence, among the holy and pure who shine as the brightness of the firmament unto the soul of Bob (Smurf) Murphy who has gone unto eternity. Lord of mercy, bring him under the cover of thy wings, and let his soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life. Be Thou his possession, and may his repose be peace. Amen.
