We cannot recommend music from Brazilian, Welsh, Spanish, French or Catalan singers without the accents being screwed up and the result is crap. Also find a way to eliminate the 'B' and '9' symbols when people use quotes. I guess these are both html things and for me, that's what I'd like the most. It's what you do after that which could lead to stalking. I am certain Kilauren know that she is able to remove and block friends if it becomes necessary. I'm just being cautious because I don't want to get to that point (not that I would stalk anyone) but, she did accept me and I'm grateful for that. It doesn't get me any closer to Joni but I think she might be an interesting person in her own right. I do enjoy her profile page and her ramblings about her band, etc. I'm not even going to mention her mother. I'm not expecting her to join the JoniFest group but I sent the invitation to all of my friends and not all of them have joined. Kilauren is just a cool chick from Toronto in my opinion. Not the only one by the way. I found 1 incorrectness in lyric section to be corrected: the order of verses of The Circle Game. And i want bigger picture resolution on "painter" section. And of course, updated biography. Well, somebody must continue Wally's work... Ah, but the point is, it should be new-fan friendly. Being 36 and still kinda looking late 20s is a blessing sometimes except when you're casting bracket is late 20's and you're being put up against these young'uns who are fresh faced out of drama school! Yes, while Kilauren was blessed with Joni's beauty (in her 20's, Kilauren look absolutely stunning. If you have a myspace, have a search for Kilauren. A stronger faced version of Joni... and one of her pictures on myspace is Kilauren drinking a beer in Joni's pool. And I know it's Joni's pool as Joni had painted it for an album (though I can't remember which one). It's the painting with the dog by the pool and the lions head waterspout. And yeah, the rockabilly Morning Morgantown certainly isn't my cup of tea and 'Killer' clearly doesn't have Joni's singing style (or voice) but if she down-tempo'ed it a bit and added a few front porch harmonies, it's be a Country hit. It's funky and fun. They look like they are having a blast with it, so that's fine with me. as far as the challenges of reunion with birth families goes, I"m sure it's been a series of ups and downs, given that both Kilauren and Joni live life within the realm of the public gaze. As Kilauren was a cover girl, she may be used to being in the 'lime' light. Btw, on her myspace, there's a gorgeous photo of her entitled little green.. And how 'do' you sort out who this stranger is that you are biologically connected to/with. Such musings are all part of the never ending story, which shifts shape constantly. Ive not seen the comments on the youtube video re: why Joni surrendered Kelly Green to adoption. Hopefully, the writers have been kind. Ive never seen this either, the way she interprets this, and especially the way she sings the words Kelly Green at the end just about did me in. What a gift. thanks so much. Hi Ya'll, I opened this YouTube video of Little Green and am watching it, and right across from it is the YouTube video titled, "joni mitchell finding her daughter." There is something transcendent as Joni sings, "Kelly Green, be a gypsy dancer" and there is Kilauren in the picture all grown up and posed as if she's looking at Joni. I must say I wasn't impressed by the video on youtube and wondered why on earth she would put herself out there. She must know that everybody will compare her to her mother, especially since she chose to cover one of her mother's songs. Hi Marion, The video is way cool in my opinion! They are having so much fun in the garden! Watch it a few more times. Dig the sound! It cracks me up at the end when she grabs the camera! As for comparing Kilauren to Joni, she is like her mom without even trying. To compare them would be like comparing apples to apples. It doesn't surprise me she sings such a clever arrangement of the song. I can hardly wait for Just Like This Train! To me, it looks like Kilauren has a very easy time just being Kilauren. Kilauren, you go girl! Rock on! I wasn't even remotely giving any thought to her appearance...I'm not very taken by how someone looks...I enjoy seeing how a person integrates their personality with how they choose what they wear etc. Everyone who is lucky enough to grow older and (JUST in my opinion) doesn't fight the aging process looks quite beautiful/handsome. I must say, though, I'm not thrilled with the metabolic changes!!! I do find Joni's physical appearance to be so consistent with how I'd imagine she would look if I only heard Joni, but never saw her...and her self-portraits are amazingly fascinating to me. I agree with Marion. Being Kilauren has got to be mixed with a tapestry of complex reactions. I'm sure that there are many people who rob her of being her...and just relate to her as Joni's daughter. Personally, I wish, for her, that she could sing, not like Joni, but in her own way...a very talented, individualistic way. My heart goes out to Lauren. Imagine discovering that Joni Mitchell is your mother. That would land me on the couch for too many years to count. Rian...since you are one of younger Joni-People, look forward to growing older and enjoying the wonder that accompanies all decades. Your physical appearance certainly changes but it really is enhanced by the events, happiness and sadness of your life. You have to work harder to remain as strong and as fit as you are in your youth...that I realize is true. I think Joni looks magnificent, as she has throughout her life. Youth doesn't equate beauty. The media gives us a warped idea about what beauty 'should' be. Be well...know your form of happiness and joy.
