Of course, my copies of Court & Spark would probably be my most favorite actual Joni treasures, being my favorite album. But I agree with Smurf that some of my experiences at past JoniFests (meeting & talking to other fans, listening to them perform) are certainly very important "Joni Treasures" to me. And, on that note, I'd have to say my most treasured Joni (fest) item is the 8 x 10 photo of me, with Anita & Steph, shot in the forest by the waterfall (down the road from Full Moon) that is one of the best photos I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot !). I can't remember if we set Anita's camera up on a rock, with the self-timer to shoot it) or if Bob Muller took that photo with Anita (or Steph's) camera. If anyone would like to see it, I could scan it & send you a .jpg (with Anita & Steph's permission, of course). The other night when we finished the first night of our Down By The River Tour, we went back to the hotel bar (oh quil supreeeze) and the lady was very nice and we talked about all kinda things and that we were looking for acoustic music clubs etc. and then she started telling us about her husband Larry Klein. We had a huge laugh about that cause Kevin had just told her I was a slut for Joni. Larry and his son (a bass player) are coming to the show tonight. Can't wait to meet them. Ft. Collins has been a gas. I love it here. Hoping to see Les tomorrow and going to Estes Park in the morning to see the old hotel where they shot the movie The Shining. Have a great weekend everyone. Best Paz NP-The Atom-Ani P.S. I got the new Jonatha Brooke and I love it. She found some really cool Woody Guthrie lyrics in the Guthrie Archives and out them to music. Lots of guests on the album. Check it out! Also just got the new Marc Broussard album but have not listened to it yet. It turns out to be a woman named Jane Lurie who worked with Joni during 1969. ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2008 #177 ********************************* ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here: mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe
