You rock, and it was so good to be able to see (and hear!) you again - but my kid is back in town and demands my attention. Still trying to persuade her with a trip to Red Bamboo afterward. :) Break a leg, or whatever it is you artsy people do... c _________________________________________________________________ Get more out of the Web. I hope you all enjoyed Joni Live At The Sydney Opera House. Here is another gem. This was requested by Barry in Jerusalem. This is Joni Live At Carnegie Hall from 1972. It's really a fabulous concert. Joni was on a real high (not literally). She is in such a great mood and talks to the audience a lot. The audience, in return, is very well behaved and respectful. Like they really wanted to be there. Joni was previewing her new album, For The Roses and performs a lot of the songs from that album. I love this version of Electricity. She even explains the title, For The Roses. Thanks to all the generous people who have shared their Joni collections with me in the past. Now I'm sharing with the rest of this special community. It is a single CD but I had to split it in two. Here is Part 1: https://rcpt.yousendit.com/ 604813888/53ac354d0e3306d3e8e9bca8e3123524 and here is Part 2 which includes some artwork that I designed: https://rcpt.yousendit.com/604838542/e33b224dd59ab6cf8a520b39c8e0103c Enjoy. Mark in Sydney PS I'd be interested in what people think of these concerts. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Sep 2008 23:12:40 +0000 From: Patti Parlette Subject: sjc, an extreme Joni home makeover, then down down the dark ladder Dear Joniamigos: Craving simplicity, I've been going through some home makeovers this summer. Painting some pastel walls brown (gobi -- driving across the burning -- desert), some blue, some a little green, throwing out and recycling 30 years of hope and hopelessness, the kids' old stuff (gone, like the turn of a page)....it's been hard work, and a little emotional at times. Plus picking out so many new things (light fixtures et tout ca) -- some of the crazy you get, from too much choice. I'm just putting the finishing touches on the remodelled bathroom. I've been searching all over for a shower curtain, and finally found one that I like. (I found one called "trailing ivy", but could not find a "climbing ivy.") So I found one with wildflowers, wavin' for ya. And it's from Canada! I got the confirmation today and just had to share: Bonjour Patricia Your order has been processed and was sent yesterday.
