I was considering Clouds but I'm afraid it might upset the mourners. ("I really don't know love at all" - what? Did she not love us? Did we not love her?). So it's going to be Sweet Bird. But I'm sure you realize I meant BSN. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jul 2008 09:03:42 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Joni Docos I'm guessing by 'Docos' you mean documentary films. (Docos would be a good name for a cookie or breakfast cereal, I'm thinking). In any regard, there's only ONE to recommend: "A Woman Of Heart & Mind": http://tinyurl.com/6gwgw4 Bob NP: Foo Fighters, "Stranger Things Have Happened" - ------------------------------------------------------------ The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain proprietary, business-confidential and/or privileged material. Last night I was multi-tasking while the Colbert Report was on. I *thought* I heard him say "Joni Mitchell". Say what? Sure enough, he did! (When you're JMOCDed all the time, you can't really be sure if what you hear is real, ya know?) I just asked my Lakota friend here in the old workplace and he said: "Yeah, he did! He showed a Joni album, too." Google time! It was a Starbucks satire. "The "Save Our Starbucks" campaign is the kind of grass-roots activism Stephen likes -- the kind that helps sprawling corporate behemoths." Voila: http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/index.jhtml It shines on SHINE for about 10 seconds of wonder and delight, at 0:48 seconds. Love, Patti P. P.S. To answer BM's cue: It's the time of the season When the love runs high In this time, give it to me easy And let me try With pleasured hands To take you and the sun to Promised lands To show you every one It's the time of the season for loving _________________________________________________________________ Use video conversation to talk face-to-face with Windows Live Messenger. http://www.windowslive.com/messenger/connect_your_way.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_Refresh_messenger_video_072008 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jul 2008 10:33:42 -0700 From: "Randy Remote" Subject: Re: JMDL Digest V2008 #144 From: "Rachael Byrnes" > Hi Everyone, > > Can anyone recommend some good Joni Docos? > > Anything good on youtube? As Bob said, Woman of Heart and Mind is the definitive doc on Ms Joni. It's only available now as a twofer with Joni's 1998 soundstage concert video "Painting With Words and Music". Twenty bucks on Amazon. Both are excellent, and a must have for lovers of Joni's music. Check ebay for used copies. Don't know about youtube.
