Chelsea Morning, Victor and Jody and Scott (they went to Florida) and every other Jonibody: I am writing on the mudslide slim chance that you three are all together in some breakfast Barangrill just at this moment of the world, and that Victor has his laptop perched on the table next to the milk and toast and honey and a bowl of oranges, too, to say: GROUP HUG! Whenever two or more of you are gathered in Her Name, there is LOVE. (I know. I'm a little bit corny.) Now please pass me the tea. And the lemonade. Yes. You have to sip that particular mixture as you watch the morning on parade in Morning Morgantown, or *any* town you name. Morning's just the same in Morning Joni Town! Love & Peace & Safe Travels (or, as they say in France, where they kiss on Main Street: Bon Voyage!), Patti P. in Mansfield Morning Town, really late for UConn Morning Town P.S. And you three amigos, don't you be staring any holes into those scrambled eggs now! (Or the good omelets, either. Or the muffins and berries.) Help me! I'm JMOCDing and I can't stop! How do you stop? Okay, okay. I'm going to press "send". Bye bye, babies! Put on the day! _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Hotmail is giving away Zunes. Thanks Patti! We just finished breakfast and Jody and Scott left for the airport. I decided to go to Mobile (since I already have tickets for Birmingham) and will be leaving this fine town shortly. > P.S. We went to a local joint and had the standard 2 eggs, bacon, toast and grits...mmmm yummy!!! It was the ultimate sign of love and respect for him to pick this song. And to have Joni's voice accompanying the happiest four minutes of my life was just....well, I'm sure you understand. And the perfect words....I really felt like we had come full circle. I bore him, and raised him, and now my work is complete. He married a lovely young woman, from a really nice family. You wrote: Pattis Joni Moment was nearly a wake up call: We have just recorded "THE CIRCLE GAME" and the letter made me feel that I am walking on holy ground. My only excuse is that it was made out of love to the song and the joy of playing Joni's music. Maybe others can enjoy that this new version is another tribute. For Joni fans we have made 11 songs that Joni didn't release herself on the same album "TREASURES OF JONI MITCHELL". Henning www.bigyellowtaxi.dk **** Wow! Quel synchronicity! I listened to some clips and they are beautiful. Tak (thank you) on behalf of all Joni- lovers. And congratulations (I looked that up in the Danish on-line dictionary and it says there is no translation) to you and Christina on such love and joy-inspired "work". I'm going to open up my credit card eyes and go to CDBaby as soon as possible. (Henning: I won't tell anyone that you paid me 500 Euros to make up that fake story about the magical Joni moment wedding Circle Game sweet sucker dance with my son just to promote your new CD. That will be our little secret!) (Just kidding, of course.) And for all of you who wrote to say that you enjoyed the story, thank you. Especially the person who had tears in his/her eyes at work! (LOL....your secret is safe with me.) But really, I am the one who must say thank YOU. Where else could I share this story? Who else would "get it"? I thank my lucky stars (and the clouds to read) for this HOLY GROUND: the JMDL community and Les & Company and, of course: MISS JONI MITCHELL! The last bit, in particular, about tenement castles and lower case letters is brilliant. Let us indeed hope there are many more of these essays to come. I always loved Dennis Wilson. He was my favorite Beach Boy at the age of 14. My mom brought me and 10 friends to see them in 1968 (circa just before the release of STAS). Before the concert, we were sitting in a park in Hartford, CT, when one of the roadies came up to talk to us teeny-boppers. He promised to give us Denny's drumsticks after the show at the back door, and he delivered. I wish I could say I still had the drumstick. Lost it somewhere after all these years. The first youtube you posted has been removed (merde alors!) but the second one is great. I always wished I had a river! Now, to repay your kindness, here's another BB beauty. Brian Wilson said it is his favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1rxMBA4w18 "Oh, Caroline You break my heart..." "But there was one song he played I could really feel...." And don't get me going on "God Only Knows". You will find that one there, too. Long live the Sixties! (LOL, I can safely say that while the Cover Cat's away.) Amor e paz, Patti P. ****** Check out the new release by Dennis Wilson well is not really (all) new, but check it anyway ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlHLZHd9EiM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4yFWBbG_ZA Samuel _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Hotmail is giving away Zunes.
