Like A Rolling Stone from Highway 61 Revisited (1965) This song is perfect. And FYI, Rolling Stones Magazine placed this song #1 on its 500 Greatest Songs list. (anyway, 3 Joni songs are on the list too : Help Me, BSN, and Free Man In Paris) Highway 61 is one of few albums that I love all tracks on it. And this album is also placed at #4 on RS's 500 Greatest album of all time. So, you shouldn't miss this album. 2. Just Like A Woman, from Blonde on Blonde (1966) She takes just like a woman, She makes love just like a woman, She aches just like a woman, But she breaks just like a little girl. Oooo i love the song. FYI : The song is mentioned on Annie Hall. Blond on Blonde is probably one of my favorite album ever. 3. Dirt Road Blues, from Time Out Of Mind This album won Grammy's Album Of The Year (and the album deserves) As for his early works, I'm not a fan of his pre-Highway Road albums, for reason unknown. Perhaps because I don't like the singing style (in fact, i really hate The Times They Are A Changing) (but I love COrrina Corrina, which I think better than Joni's version) Well, that's my 2 cent. Hundreds of thousands of horses are cruelly and inhumanely transported to Mexico only to be brutally murdered for human consumption. Here in Antonio, our newspaper did a headline story about the horse's heart-wrenching plight and it caused an outcry. I couldn't even see two seconds of a tv news clipping showing the method of murder with machete like knives driven through their spines and backs. And whenever I've looked into the eyes of any horse I meet I see loyalty and love and the absolute beauty of creation. Truly, Jeannie PS: Check a blood-dimmed story out about this disaster being done on a daily basis to my friends by going to the rickieleejones.com site and scroll down to the lower third of the page and there you'll find the link. And right now I'm going outside to smell some of the red roses my son, grandmother and myself planted right before she got a brain tumor and died soon after that. And soon right after that to help heal our pain my son, sister, mom and I went by train and plane to Vancouver to go hear Joni sing, along with Van the Man and another sweet mean ol' daddy, Bob Dylan and we could smell the roses once we sat in the garden on the grass as the sun set over the Puget Sound so serene.
