Marianne >From: Em Subject: Re: Another take on The Joni Letters the scope of that album, I'm finding is vast. It foes and goes andgoes. That said, I'm way too small to master listening to it. Itremains above my head. But its a fascinating place to visit and maybe one day it will seemconfortably familiar. Right now its like a white universe expandingoutward. I stick my toe in it, but cannot jump in. Like not a black interior space universe, but bright white lightrushing on into Einstein's infinity. Like riding that beam of light. I'm glad it won.Maybe its just cuz I'm getting old, but I'm tired of seeing the mostfashionable thing win.Let something kinda underground and weird win, for once. Even if mostlyold f_ckers listen to it.To me its a challenging album to listen to, and the Grammy encouragesme to continue to let it absorb me.I can't absorb it.....but maybe it can absorb me.... and we will mergeinto some kind of stardust.lol....sorry...I know that was weird...Happy Thursday...Em _________________________________________________________________ Climb to the top of the charts! This has been happening a lot recently. My guess is no one knows why or can do anything about, but I decided to mention it just in case. I'm single-message-Joni-only, if it matters. It's regarding an album of Joni Mitchell songs that won album of the year. I get your point but in this particular case, this message is having to do with Joni so I don't see why it is being used as an example. I understand some messages may be more directly related to Joni Mitchell and some more tangentially but in some cases it seems they could go either way, as is the case with this one. I think often people just forget to add the tag. It happens. For the most part I think people are pretty good about it. My complaint was not that I received the post, which was completely on topic; my complaint is that I got it 4DAYS AFTER IT WAS SENT. So to be more clear: recently, posts have begun arriving out of order, often days after others get them. This is not related to the NJC tags--in fact it's completely random. As I said, my guess is that no one will know why this started happening, but I am wondering if it's happened to anyone else, and I also wanted those who run the list to be aware of it, even if they can't do anything about it. Again, I apologize for not being clear in my original post. Michael Flaherty - --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! This happens to me from time to time as well. I'm not sure why. It may have something to do with the various servers the e-mails pass through on their way from here to there. Sometimes a server is down for a few hours (or days?) and then there's a backlog of mail to be delivered.
