How nice! And for what it's worth you didn't come off as an idiot since even Joni understood! -M Phyliss Ward wrote: Monika, I've had the (extreme) pleasure of meeting Joni three times, in 3 different situations (gallery, restaurant with friend, restaurant alone). Although she didn't remember me the second or third times, (nor did I expect to or ask her to try) She was always extremely friendly, kind and genuine. The first time I DID come off as an idiot. My heart was racing out of my body and I could barely put two words together. She could see how nervous I was so she just stood up from her chair and gave me a big hug to calm me down. It doesn't get any better than that. Phyliss Hmm, well I sometimes think about if I were to meet Joni what I would say. I actually have a 4 point speech memorized in my head that I would tell her. My biggest fear in actually meeting her wouldn't be that she wouldn't live up to my expectations but that I would come off as an idiot or she'd think I was with probably my ongoing rambling. I would bet that if you did meet her in a nice, proper way (at a gallery, after a concert, vs. barging in on her eating dinner with friends or doing something private or whatever) she would be very kind. That's just my guess though. - -Monika Peep Richman wrote: Hi Joni-People, I now have similar fears as to what might happen if I ever met Joni. I am sure Joni has a public and private persona. And, I wonder if we as a whole, imagine Joni to be what she is in her every day life. Does anyone feel the same way? I've updated the database with accommodations and deposits. Please check the database to make sure you were credited for what was sent to me. The single rooms are limited and going fast, so if that is important to you, please reserve early! I've also given everyone a few extra weeks before the final payments are due. I am now completely on top of all things Jonifest, and will be from now until we meet again at Full Moon in April. For those of you who have not gone to the website to check it out, go here: _www.jmdl.com_ (http://www.jmdl.com) and click on "Jonifest". In the meantime, here is all the information. (There are also "Frequently Asked Questions" on the website.) You can still participate even if you can't come top Fest by donating to the raffle or to the scholarship fund!
