What made it different was that it was *also* available and heavily promoted in the Starbucks chain. The publicity made a big hit of a fairly mediocre album (imo, that is, it got mostly good reviews-I thought it was weaker than his previous two). I don't know if they could repeat the same trick, since this was their first release, and newsworthy for that reason. We don't know for sure if they are talking about Joni in these rumours, anyway....it would certainly fit, given her previous relationship with 'bucks....but could be Stevie Nicks, Kelly Clarkson, Pat Benatar, etc, etc.... I tried to attach a jpeg to that message, which was a photo I hand-shot from the FTR music folio. It was too high-res (too huge) and the JMDL software didn't handle it. In the music folio for FTR, there was a Joni marker-painting to illustrate every song. The song FTR is accompanied by a really desolate picture which I can only believe is JT in a troubled period sitting in a hotel room, bottle of Jack, a guitar (the soundhole and your knee), a rose, and the remains of a card hand on the table...a seven of hearts showing (James and Joni were an 'item' you know?) They are old souls who have come here to reach the highest in these areas, "or else". With two nines in their Life Path, they have come to complete a grand cycle in their soul's work and to let go of many things so that they may progress to the next level. These people must learn to let go of all personal attachments and give to others without expectation of return or reward. On the low side, these people can be preoccupied with many suspicions and jealousies, which is but a reflection of their own nature. On the high side, we find those who make great personal sacrifices for others and who give much to the world. All must find some way to give to the world to attain peace and satisfaction. This usually manifests as teaching or consulting. Anyone born as a seven or nine must learn to give and let go or suffer great pain and disappointment. The Seven of Hearts are the givers of knowledge and love and can reach the highest." Me again: interesting that Joni chose this one. Queen Lucy- This looks like such a fab place. I would love to go here, but I don't know if I can pull it off. I am currently studying doing another fest next year as I had discussed with Ashara and at the urging of so many. I can do one in New Orleans which would be great. Howlin' Wolf has agreed to host us there any day I want. There is a Episcopal retreat on the Northshore (swimming pools, private rooms for up to 100 + performance spaces, lakes, etc. for about $100 a day with meals but no booze included, we can bring our own) that is perfect for a retreat type gathering and we can do a tour bus into New Orleans for an all star event like we had last time at the Wolf. I have a hotel sponsor that I can host people for $89.00 a night right on Lee Circle (8 blocks from the French Quarter) so I have options. Many new Orleans artists have expressed great interest in doing another tribute show as part of our festivities. Club Med in Florida offers an all inclusive package with all meals and premium booze included that was $100 per person per night as of last year. I am waiting for another quote from the agent that is helping me. I would like to do all of them (Full Moon, UK, and Florida or New Orleans). I am already scheduled to go to Spain next year with my family and I think that is in June so UK will probably be out for me unless a tour comes thru for the band next August with one of the promoters that hosted us this year. It is in the planning stages so it is possible. Lets have an open discussion cause I hate to see Ashara cancel Full Moon. I will go with what the majority wants to do. I love the gatherings where ever they may be. I will let you guys know when I hear back from the Club Med people on the new prices this year. As well as the links for you guys to check everything out. Best of luck with your plans and I hope it works out that I am in your area at the time it happens. My take on it is that it is going to be absolute max #200 for accommodations (I don't understand the single supplement bit...so add #30 to the cost as a precaution) with campers taking off #20. so #180 if you camp. These prices can come down obviously...if single sups dont apply if all the space is taken (I hope) We would need to agree about catering. They can arrange caterers, but I think, to keep costs down, We could, between us find some willing hands to share the meal prep so that we can have a great breakfast, and an evening meal for around about #20 per person per day. This does not incude alcohol, we would bring our own. SAy #10 per head for Thursday and Monday, #20 for Friday Sat and Sunday. The run of the FEST would go something like this Thursday Arrive and have a gathering and meal for those arriving that night, song circle and general FEST type catching up and enjoying Friday Breakfast say between 9.00 and 10.30, clear up Free time to go and take in the Rollright Stones, general rambling in the countryside or what ever you fancy doing There are some great places around there. 7pm supper 9.00pm performances and whatever usually happens Saturday Breakfast Free time, I would suggest a visit to Bourton on the Water or whatever you fancy doing 7 pm meal and evening performances, song circle etc, Sunday: Breakfast, clear up and lazy morning Free time, chilling or site seeing 5 pm barbeque and activities (I would like a re-run of the song tag competition) Maybe a story circle of our favourite Joni related stories, personal experiences, Evening performances Monday morning breakfast and clear up and leave by 12.00 noon. Just to make this clear I am proposing that the catering is done on a not for profit basis and that any money left overr be donated to several charities. I am either thinking of an AIDS charity like the Terrence Higgins Trust and A leukaemia support charity such as the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia Support Association. I do not envisage much being over but I think its good to moot these points now. All accounts will be open to inspection and available to all who attend the FEST. I will suggest that a Pay Pal account is set up for this venture so that there is a clear audit trail for monies in and out. SO what say you. I need to put down a deposit very very soon so I need you to commit now but no money would be needed until about May 2008.
