She's the true Joni-fanatic. Every year that we're been together I've managed the Joni Mitchell related present. Hopefully, I'll manage to get something from the opening. When I spoke to them, they mentioned a catalogue of the art to be shown, so maybe I'll be able to get one of those. I got her one from the Mendel show years ago, but another nice lithograph may be in the offing as well. I'll see what I can purchase from waaaay over here. If anyone does see something, being offered for sale (and under $350 or so), I'd be more than willing to reimburse (and do so quickly), if someone could pick up something as a present for my wife. I thought about the signed painted bowl being offered on eBay, but I didn't want to get into the whole bidding and rebidding process, only to lose out at the last minute, or be cheated by some clown. I trust you all, since I feel like I know you all. So, if anyone's willing to help me, I'd be most grateful and appreciative. My personal e-mail is lorencarter00@yahoo.com in case you'd like to contact me off list. On last night's ep of "The (American) Office", the staff learns that the board decided to shut down their branch. Pam's ex-fiance (Roy), who works in the warehouse, is lamenting the fact that he and Pam will no longer work with each other and he says to the camera: "You know that Cinderella song, "You Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone"? That pretty much says it better than I know how to say it...in words". Wait a minute! It's just now dawning on me that there probably IS a Cinderella song with that title and it wasn't a clever Joni Mitchell reference at all. Even though I laughed out loud because I thought THAT was the joke - that it's Joni Mitchell but he thinks it's Cinderella. Yep, just googled it - it's a Cinderella song. Aye aye aye.
