Shawn Colvin was on . . they were interviewing her. She said that she was "a joni freak" . . and that joni's percussion type guitar playing influenced her. I have often noticed that joni uses her guitar as a percussion instrument. I always loved that. . there are some songs joni does that more than others. . I'm sure you know what I am talking about. It is very groovy. I love that Joni. One includes exploitation by a dominent adult. The powerful adult that entices the child with money, goodies, a ranch that looks like an amusement park (sorry), etc the other legal premise is that Sexual activity with a minor is Statutory Rape. Knowing that State law is important. the recent rash of school teachers who have had sex with their male students fall in this catagory. Working with teen, many adult males are courting and dating teenage girls and we encourage their parents to file Statutory Rape charges. ive been met many children and adults who have been molested and i have have to work with children and adults who are sex offenders and molesters. the law state that young adults or teens below a certain age, cannot consent to sexual activity and therefore it is illegal. Therefore Nambla activity is illegal in most states there are boundaries of sexuality that just cant be pushed in my opinion and child sexual abuse is one of them sharon - -- Trust your intuition It's just like going fishing You cast your line And hope you're getting a bite But you don't need to waste your time Worrying about the market place Try to help the human race Struggling to survive its harshest night paul simon sage advisor, does weary mean wiser dar williams ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2006 15:01:11 +0000 From: waytoblue@comcast.net Subject: Re: Child Sex Abuse > the other legal premise is that Sexual activity with a minor is > Statutory Rape. I'm assuming you're referring to the female teachers like the one from Greco Junior High in Tampa (where I attended actually), the woman in Georgia who actually had a child, etc... It seems like society is more acceptant of cases like these when in reality the damage done is just as great. That they'd tear her up in there. The "too pretty" defense. lol! or is that a diff one? "Society" might be more tolerant. I'm not. I think that sort of tolerance, however, goes back to this weird idea that a young male is somehow "scoring" if he has sex with his female teacher. But like you said, Victor, the damage done is just as great. Lori Santa Rosa, CA ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2006 12:37:26 -0600 From: "Les Irvin" Subject: Real or fake? Thanks, Les I'd say it's a forgery.......just someone trying to replicate her drawing....Joni is a much better artist than this. If you look at the album cover, there is much more detail and intricacy in the paisley patterns which resembles a flapper style headpiece to me. rosie ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Oct 2006 00:57:50 +0100 From: "Jamie's Box of Paints" Subject: Re: Real or fake?
